Today we celebrate David Omardia, a 21-year student at the University of East London, that will soon be a familiar face on our television and film screens.

David developed his love for acting at primary school, where he was in every school play, this then progressed to secondary school and college, in which David took Drama as one of his subjects.

As David got to deciding what he wanted to do in university, it now came down to the decision of whether he was going to pursue his lifelong passion or do a ‘serious’ course (as some may choose to call it). David made the decision to go to the University of Essex to study banking and finance. As his first year progressed and he got to his third trimester, David began to realise that his heart was not in the course he was studying.

At around the same time, David got an audition for a drama school and made a pact with himself that if he got in, he would come back to London and focus on the career path he was passionate about. David made the audition and did just that. However, he decided that he still wanted to go to university while in pursuit of his career and enrolled into the University of East London, studying drama and theatre.

From then David has been able to land himself with a variety of roles. From staring in a theatre piece; Love, Genius and the Walk, to landing a role as an extra for Mission Impossible. Although it wasn’t a big role, David was able to experience being part of such a massive production. This role now stirred up a hunger in him, with the realisation of what his acting career could lead to.

One of the biggest opportunities David has gotten thus far is staring in a series that was being filmed in Mumbai, India. This has been such a monumental occasion in David’s acting career as it has happened so early on in his career. But David consistently shows how much talent he has got to offer to the world.

Watch out for David on a big screen near you. We can’t wait to see what else he has in store!
