BUDDING STUDENT NIA RAYE, READY TO TAKE THE TV AND RADIO WORLD BY STORM!

In today’s edition of ‘Celebrating Students’ we are celebrating Nia Raye, a budding student at the University of West London who is ready to take the TV and radio world by storm.
Nia who is known as Sonia by family and friends, hasn’t had it easy after beginning her university journey at Nottingham Trent university, studying law. After spending a whole year struggling with her course, Nia made a brave decision that some of us would not have the courage to make and dropped out and started a completely different course.
Now in her second year and the University of West London, Nia is defining all odds; with a blog that she posts on bi-weekly writing about music, fashion and beauty and a radio show that airs every week, where she plays a range of afrobeat shows new and old, discusses the latest hot topics and invites various guests.
"AFROBEATS WITH NIA RAYE"

"Afrobeat’s with Nia Raye" airs every Friday from 4-6pm, on UWL Blast Radio.
Where Nia has recently been voted in as one of the new assistant managers of the Blast Radio Committee.
Nia regularly invites different guests in from upcoming DJ’s like DJ Pocks,
DJ Edot and upcoming artists like Rebecca Winter.
Through all the hard work Nia has put into her radio show, Nia has been nominated for her first award by the Student Radio Awards (SRA) for outstanding contribution.
We would like to say a very big congratulations to Nia on her first nomination and wish her the best of luck for the awards!
