Rasheeda Melesse Page-Muir is a 21-year student at SOAS University of London, and is trying to change the world.

Rasheeda who was born, grew up and lives in Southeast London, is in love with her community. Her community has not only inspired her political views but inspired her to want to make a change. Rasheeda is committed to promoting the positive things that young people are doing in her community as opposed to how youths are usually negatively represented.

At the age of 17, Rasheeda created RevolYOUtion London, a debate platform for young people to engage in social and political discussions and, as result, giving them the language to participate in conversations that may affect their lives.

Rasheeda, who writes and performs poetry, sees it as powerful yet artistic way to engage, educate and empower a diverse range of voices in these conversations.

At such a young age, Rasheeda’s passion for public speaking has landed her with the opportunity of giving her own TedxTalk; titled ‘Grime, the silent feminist revolution’. And also opened the door for her to be invited to KPMG to speak at their international women’s day summit.

All in all, Rasheeda has a lot to be proud of for what she is doing in her community, and we can’t wait to see where she takes us next in her mission in changing the world!
